Yim Tith Charged in Case 004

Today, December 9 2015, the International Co-Investigating Judge charged Mr. Yim Tith with genocide of the Khmer Krom, crimes against humanity, grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions of 1949, committed during an international armed conflict between Democratic Kampuchea and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and violations of the 1956 Cambodian Penal Code. These charges were, according to the Co-Prosecution and the International Co-Investigating Judge, allegedly committed in the Southwest Zone and the Northwest Zone. The charges relate to a number of Security Centers and worksites in these zones, amongst them Trapeang Thma worksite that is also currently being tried in Case 002/02.
