Final Words
Today marked the end of the Kaing Guek Eav (alias “Duch”) appeals before the Supreme Court Chamber. A gallery full of Cambodian visitors provided a fitting background to the day’s topic of civil party appeals, which centered around complaints that the Trial Chamber failed in its duty to provide an adequate forum for reparations to victims of the Khmer Rouge.
